Former USC offensive lineman Max Tuerk passed away on June 20, 2020, at a young age of 26. He was added as the OL while the third draft of the National Football League was being finalized. The news of his death was announced by the NFL on the same day. Later, the media received another footage of Tuerk’s parents and family who announced the death of the young man officially. According to his family, Max Tuerk was in the Cleveland National Forest, where he had gone for a hiking trip with his parents. It was during the hike that Tuerk collapsed suddenly.

The USC Trojans were one of the first teams to post about this tragic incident on their Twitter handle. They posted a picture of Max Tuerk in action and captioned a nice message. Using the hashtag of FightOnForever, the team wrote that the Trojan Family was extremely saddened to know about the news of Tuerk’s death. He has surely gone too soon, and that they want to pass their condolences to his family.

In the official announcement, they said that Max Tuerk passed away on June 20, 2020, while he was hiking with his parents in his favorite trail. The early days of Max Tuerk

Rivals say that Max Tuerk was a four-star addition just out of high-school. He started as a left tackle in the Trojans Team, and he was pure talent. Then, he shifted to guard his sophomore year. Later, in his junior year, he bagged the All-Pac 12 first-team honor. There came another move inside the line that shifted him at the center position during his senior year.

In this position, Tuerk showed great skills and was picked up as a second-day draft. He then became the third player to make it from that position. Later, Max secured the record of starting at every position on the OL at least once during his college years. He was then selected as the captain while he was still in his junior year. He held to the position till he finished his college senior year.

In 2016, Tuerk was selected by the San Diego Chargers during the 66th overall pick for the NFL draft. The boy played for the same organization for two consecutive seasons. Later, he was released in 2018, but he had already played for the Arizona Cardinals in 2017. The San Diego Chargers released an official statement mourning Tuerk’s death.
