All-star selections are flawed as they only recognize the best players of the season from the first-half performances. Due to this flawed system, MLB brings you two sets of All-MLB teams who are the true best of 2019.

Vote of a fan accounts for half of the decision making while a panel of experts decides the other half. The number of nominees of a team or position is not fixed, and there is an attempt to split up teams by leagues. Only the best players are recognized for each position.

The selection of the two teams is made by two teams which were the leading teams in World Series. Houston Astro has six players, and Washington Nationals have four players in the team. Nationals is a small team. Mike Trout is also there.

Astro and National combine for 10 selections on inaugural All-MLB teams

The members of the first are:

Pete Alonso of Mets, J.T. Realmuto of Phillies, Anthony Rendon of Nationals, DJ LeMahieu of Yankees, Xander Bogaerts of Red Sox, Mike Trout of Angels, Cody Bellinger of Dodgers, Christian Yelich of Brewers, Nelson Cruz of Twins, Justin Verlander of Astros, Gerrit Coles of Astros, Jacob deGrom of Mets, Max Scherzer of Nationals, Stephen Strasburg of Nationals, Kirby Yates of Padres, and Josh Hader of Brewers.

The team has the star pitchers of the series. Bellinger, Trout, and Yelich are the MVPs. Bellinger being the youngest at 24 years old. Four of the pitchers of the team are from Astros and Nationals including Cole and Verlander.

The members of the second team are:

Yasmani Grandal of Brewers, Freddie Freeman of Braves, Jose Altuve of Astros, Alex Bregman of Astros, Marcus Semien of A’s, Ronald Acuña Jr. of Braves, Mookie Betts of Red Sox, Juan Soto of Nationals, Yordan Alvarez of Astros, Zack Greinke of D-backs/Astros, Hyun Jin Ryu of Dodgers, Jack Flaherty of Cardinals, Charlie Morton of Rays, Mike Soroka of Braves, Aroldis Chapman of Yankees, and Liam Hendriks of A’s.

Young players are getting started on the team. Soto, Acuña, Alvarez, and Soroka are 20, 21, 22 and 22 years old. They are just beginning their careers. Bregman is on the team. It is surprising given that he was second in AL MVP voting. Rendon got the top position.
