The Indian Premier League Governing Council has released the shortlist of players who will participate in the upcoming player’s auction on December 19, 2019. The list was shortened from the original 997 to 332, which includes a total of 186 Indians, 143 foreigners and three players from associate countries.

Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood, Chris Lynn, Mitchell Marsh, Glenn Maxwell, Dale Steyn, and Angelo Mathews have been shortlisted for the upcoming IPL auction at the highest base price of INR 2 crores. These are the players which are on the must-buy list of every almost every team. Among foreign players, nine have set a base price of Rs 1.5 crore, while 20 have a base price of Rs 1 crore.

IPL 2020: Maxwell, Uthappa lead the list of players trimmed to 332 for the upcoming IPL auction. Robin Uthappa is the only Indian to have fixed his base price of INR 1.5 crore. Piyush Chawla, Yusuf Pathan and Jaydev Unadkat have kept their base price INR 1 crore. The shortlist has been shortlisted among foreign players at a base price of INR 1.5 crore, Eoin Morgan, Jason Roy, Chris Morris, Chris Woakes, Adam Zampa, Sean Marsh, David Wiley, Ken Richardson, and Ken Abbott.

A total of 186 Indians, 143 foreigners and three players of Associate Nations will come in the auction. Seven cricketers have placed themselves in the highest base price list of 2 crores, 10 in the 1.5 crore bracket and 1 crore. Among the uncapped players, 183 are in the 20 lakh category, seven lakh 40 lakh and eight in 30 lakh.

Vivo IPL 2020, will be starting on 23rd March, where the first match will be played between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at Chennai’s home ground.
