Ariel, the 5-year-old kid, met a car accident implicating erstwhile Chiefs subordinate coach Britt Reid. She is now out of danger as out of the coma. Ariel’s family shared that she came to her senses after more than 10 days of coma suffering.

The 5-year-old improvement will take time

According to the GoFundMe page that was delivering updates on the little one’s medical charges, the girl’s relative Tiffany Verhulst stated that Ariel finally emerged after 11 days of sleep. Ariel is no longer the maverick girl like used to be before the crash.

On February 4, 2021, Ariel and one other child met with the accident near the team training complex, adjacent to Arrowhead Stadium Kansas City. The other child endured injuries that were not life-threatening.

Britt’s acknowledgment consuming alcohol

According to the police statement, there is an investigation going on over Reid. He is now in impairment. Reid admitted to officers that he had consumed 2 to 3 shots of drinks earlier in the evening. He was also on Adderall, a prescription medication used to treat attention deficit disorder, as reported by FOX4 Kansas City police.

Police reported that they had collected blood samples of Reid to ascertain blood-alcohol absorption. The results will take around four weeks minimum to come out. The police will have to wait a maximum of six weeks. By then they will know till when Reid will be in impairment.

Britt Reid remains no longer employee

Britt Reid, the 35-year-old American football second coach and son of Andy Reid, the chief coach, was on official leave. The accident led the Chiefs not to extend Reid’s contract, which lapsed at the end of the 2020 season as per a report by ESPN.

In 2007 Britt went to jail for running a “drug emporium.” There was his involvement in a road rage incident too in the same year.

NFL to take proper actions against Reid

As mentioned by the NFL, their initial apprehension is with the youngster Ariel and those who faced injuries. The incident will be thought over under the personal scheme conducted by the NFL. The NFL said that They would keep track of progress once the prosecution is over, as well as they will look into the case and will take appropriate steps.
