Faf du Plessis wants to center on-field affairs for South Africa as it prepares to take England backward.

Cricket South Africa CEO Thabang Moro was suspended on Friday as a “precautionary step” after allegations of misconduct.

Former captain Graeme Smith is scheduled to be appointed as South Africa’s new director of cricket next week and du Plessis believes the focus should turn to play XI.

“A lot has happened, but now it’s a new beginning,” the captain was quoted as saying by ESPN Cricinfo.

“There is not a long time before the English series, so now it is about getting our attention back on the team, to make sure that the Test team gets all the things we need.”

The last two or three weeks have been a little difficult to stop, which is already too late, so we need to make sure in the next week that things start to get the most attention to the test team.

The last two weeks. It has not taken much notice that we will try and drive in the next week.

“Now it is about moving forward. I am a firm man of conviction that it is time that we watch as we move through all this nonsense that is happening behind the scenes. It is about making sure that the players are in cricket. Things are focused on. Now focus on what’s important, which is a Test series against England.”

“A lot of negative things have happened in the last four or five weeks, and our cricket is stable for a lot of issues all the time. We take pride in having a cricketer talk about this stuff all the time. It’s worth noting. The need is to be on cricket and to make sure that we build ourselves as a team and as an organization to be great again. “

The first Test between South Africa and England will start at Centurion from 26 December.
