Shreyas Santosh Iyer is an Indian cricketer currently captaining the Delhi Capital in the Indian Premier League. A right-handed top-order batsman, Iyer has played one-day internationals and Twenty20 internationals for India’s national cricket team.

He played for India’s under-19 cricket team in the 2014 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He plays for Mumbai in domestic cricket.

Former England captain Kevin Pietersen feels that Shreyas Iyer, who is regarded as an option for the No. 4 slot in India’s ODI squad, should focus on his off-side batting and further improvement on the net.

Speaking about Shreyas on the Star Sports Select dugout, Peterson said: “Shreyas Iyer needs to be more focused on his off-side batting, and he needs to spend more time on the net to hit extra cover. For more practice, remove your left hand. Focus on running the line on the pad and offside”.

He said, “There are exercises you need to practice as a young player, and which will help him as a bowler. Eventually, he will not have to bowl outside the off-stump. He will then be able to play many strikers. ” Be more comfortable.
