Fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi was congratulated by Pakistan bowling Coach Waqar Younis for taking five wickets in his first Test.

The left-handed archer secured the second day of the second Test match against Sri Lanka at the National Stadium in Karachi on Friday.

Afridi completed his Pachas by dismissing Oshada Fernando (4), Angelo Mathews (13), Dhananjaya De Silva (32), Dilruwan Perera (48) and Lahiru Kumara (0).

On the strength of their strength, Sri Lanka piled on Pakistan for 271 runs in response to 191 runs in the first innings and took the lead of 80 runs.

After Afridi’s stunning performance, Younis praised the youngster on Twitter. He wrote on Twitter, “Not bad since the age of 19 … Hard work always pays off … Congratulations on taking the first wicket out of your many 5 wickets … @iSheenAfridi #PAKvsSL.”
