Winter Haven, CA (KYMA, KECY)-Six former student-athletes from San Pasqual High School have been invited to Guerrero’s third “Fame of Fame” ceremony.

Athletes from 1971 to 1980 were honored for their achievement in the stadium.

Daniel Golding, a member of the San Pascua Warrior’s Hall of Fame committee, said that not only did the ceremony pay tribute to past athletes but that the Hall of Fame hopes to pave the way to the future. Student-athletes by continuing to raise funds for scholarships at events

Donation to the Sampasqual Hall of Fame

Yuma, AZ (KYMA)-The Sampas Qual Hall of Fame Association is a nonprofit organization that supports the Sampas Qual Athletic in Yuma. The association will hold a charity golf tournament on Saturday, January 25.

The purpose of this event is to raise funds for the San Pasqual Warrior Hall of Fame Scholarship Fund 2020. The funding will be used for scholarships to support students seeking higher education.

The golf tournament was named in honor of the legendary coach, Denny Mandel. Mandel led the state to multiple football and baseball state championships while at Warriors in Sampasqua. He has helped Warriors build their exercise program.

The San Pasqual Hall of Fame Association hosts golf tournaments at Desert Hills Golf Course. The funds collected will be used for scholarships. Last year, the association awarded scholarships to five students.

The golf tournament is followed by a banquet dinner at Kechang Casino Resort. Dinner is for tournament players, Sampas Qual athletes and hall sponsors. Anyone can attend dinner and buy tickets for $ 30.
