Veteran Defensive End and Ace Player Michael Bennett Announces His Retirement

Michael Bennett, a thrice Pro Bowl Selection, and an ace Veteran defensive are finally retiring. He has played eleven NFL seasons and has 69.5 career sacks. Besides, he is also the winner of a Super Bowl ring during his career. Bennett took to his Instagram account to announce his retirement on July 21. In his Instagram post, Bennett wrote that retirement feels like he is dying. However, he is looking forward to the rebirth as well. According to him, it is an opportunity to find himself once again.

Bennett also thanked his children and wife who have made several sacrifices to witness his success. He adds that it is now time for him to support them just the way they have done for all these eleven years. Finally, he says that he has never felt so peaceful before. Along with the post, Michael Bennett quoted the great Toni Morrison who said that “Freeing yourself was one thing, claiming ownership of that freed self was another.’’
